Bhagavad Gita 8.18

Chapter 8 · The Imperishable Absolute

From the Unmanifested all the manifested (worlds) proceed at the coming of the 'day'; at the coming of the 'night' they dissolve verily into that alone which is called the Unmanifested.

Context

At Brahma's day, all manifest beings emerge from the unmanifest; at night, they dissolve back into it. Creation and dissolution are cosmic rhythms, like breathing. Understanding this removes attachment to permanence in an impermanent world.
