Bhagavad Gita 5.25

Chapter 5 · The Yoga of Renunciation

The sages (Rishis) obtain absolute freedom or Moksha — they whose sins have been destroyed, whose dualities (perception of dualities or experience of the pairs of opposites) are torn asunder, who are self-controlled, and intent on the welfare of all beings.

Context

Sages attain liberation who have destroyed sins, cut through doubts, mastered themselves, and delight in the welfare of all beings. Notice this combination: inner purification and outer compassion go together. True realization naturally expresses as care for others.
