Chapter 5 · The Yoga of Renunciation

Resting in Brahman, with steady intellect and undeluded, the knower of Brahman neither rejoiceth on obtaining what is pleasant nor grieveth on obtaining what is unpleasant.

Context

The knower of Brahman, with steady intellect and free from delusion, neither rejoices at pleasant things nor grieves at unpleasant ones. This isn't emotional numbness but profound stability—your peace no longer depends on circumstances going your way.
