Bhagavad Gita 4.23

Chapter 4 · Knowledge & Renunciation

To one who is devoid of attachment, who is liberated, whose mind is established in knowledge, who works for the sake of sacrifice (for the sake of God), the whole action is dissolved.

Context

When attachment dissolves and wisdom stabilizes the mind, all actions performed as service lose their binding power. Working for something greater than yourself—call it God, truth, or the greater good—transforms ordinary effort into something liberating.
