अधश्चोर्ध्वं प्रसृतास्तस्य शाखा गुणप्रवृद्धा विषयप्रवालाः | अधश्च मूलान्यनुसन्ततानि कर्मानुबन्धीनि मनुष्यलोके
Below and above spread its branches, nourished by the Gunas; sense-objects are its buds; and below, in the world of men, stretch forth the roots, originating action.
उस वृक्ष की शाखाएं गुणों से प्रवृद्ध हुईं नीचे और ऊपर फैली हुईं हैं; (पंच) विषय इसके अंकुर हैं; मनुष्य लोक में कर्मों का अनुसरण करने वाली इसकी अन्य जड़ें नीचे फैली हुईं हैं
गुणहरूले हुर्काएका यसका हाँगाहरू तल र माथि दुवैतिर फैलिएका छन्; विषयहरू यसका मुना हुन्; र मनुष्यलोकमा कर्महरूसँग बाँधिएका यसका जराहरू तल फैलिएका छन्
This world-tree has branches growing in all directions, nourished by the three gunas, with sense-objects as its buds. In the human realm, its roots of karma spread downward, binding you to action and consequence.
