मानापमानयोस्तुल्यस्तुल्यो मित्रारिपक्षयोः | सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी गुणातीतः स उच्यते
Who is the same in honour and dishonour, the same to friend and foe, abandoning all undertakings — he is said to have transcended the qualities.
जो मान और अपमान में सम है; शत्रु और मित्र के पक्ष में भी सम है, ऐसा सर्वारम्भ परित्यागी पुरुष गुणातीत कहा जाता है
जो मान र अपमानमा समान छ, मित्र र शत्रु दुवै पक्षमा समभाव राख्छ, र सबै कर्म-आरम्भको अभिमान त्यागेको छ — त्यसलाई गुणातीत भनिन्छ
Equal in honor and dishonor, same toward friend and foe, having abandoned all self-initiated undertakings—such a person is said to have transcended the gunas. These are signs of genuine liberation.
मान-अपमान में समान, मित्र और शत्रु के प्रति एक जैसा, सभी स्व-आरंभित उपक्रमों को त्यागा हुआ—ऐसा व्यक्ति गुणातीत कहलाता है। ये वास्तविक मुक्ति के संकेत हैं
