Bhagavad Gita 9.12

Chapter 9 · The Royal Knowledge

Of vain hopes, of vain actions, of vain knowledge and senseless, they verily are possessed of the deceitful nature of demons and undivine beings.

Context

Those of vain hopes, vain actions, and vain knowledge—senseless ones—embrace the deluding nature of demons and undivine beings. When actions aren't grounded in truth, everything becomes empty. Demonic nature isn't supernatural evil but ordinary delusion magnified.
