Bhagavad Gita 6.46

Chapter 6 · The Yoga of Meditation

The Yogi is thought to be superior to the ascetics and even superior to men of knowledge (obtained through the study of scriptures); he is also superior to men of action; therefore be thou a Yogi, O Arjuna.

Context

The yogi is considered superior to ascetics, scholars, and ritualists—therefore, Arjuna should become a yogi. This clear directive cuts through confusion about which path to follow. Integrated practice that transforms the whole person surpasses partial approaches.
