Chapter 6 · The Yoga of Meditation

Let the Yogi try constantly to keep the mind steady, remaining in solitude, alone, with the mind and the body controlled, and free from hope and covetousness.

Context

The yogi should constantly practice steadying the mind, dwelling in solitude, alone, with body and mind controlled, free from hopes and possessions. These are the external conditions that support inner work: simplicity, solitude, and freedom from accumulation.
