Bhagavad Gita 2.24

Chapter 2 · The Yoga of Knowledge

This Self cannot be cut, burnt, wetted, nor dried up. It is eternal, all-pervading, stable, immovable and ancient.

Context

The self cannot be cut, burned, wetted, or dried—it is eternal, all-pervading, stable, immovable, and ancient. Krishna piles up adjectives to drive home the point: your true nature is absolutely invulnerable. Nothing that happens in the physical world can touch the core of who you are.
