Bhagavad Gita 2.18

Chapter 2 · The Yoga of Knowledge

These bodies of the embodied Self, Which is eternal, indestructible and immeasurable, are said to have an end. Therefore fight, O Arjuna.

Context

Bodies have an end, but the one who dwells in them is eternal, indestructible, and beyond measure. Therefore, fight. This is Krishna's practical conclusion: if you understand the soul's immortality, you can act in the world without being paralyzed by fear of death—yours or others'.
