I desire to see Thee as before, crowned, bearing a mace, with the discus in hand, in Thy former form only, having four arms, O thousand-armed, Cosmic Form (Being).
Arjuna wants to see Krishna again as before—crowned, bearing mace and discus, four-armed. He asks the thousand-armed cosmic form to become the familiar divine friend. After infinite revelation, the intimate becomes precious. Both aspects are true: cosmic lord and personal beloved.
