Bhagavad Gita 1.23

Chapter 1 · Arjuna's Despair

For I desire to observe those who are assembled here to fight, wishing to please in battle the evil-minded Duryodhana (the son of Dhritarashtra).

Context

Arjuna calls Duryodhana 'evil-minded' and his supporters those seeking to please a wicked man. His moral clarity is still intact at this point—he knows he's on the right side. Sometimes we enter situations confident in our judgment, only to have that certainty tested.
