सञ्जय उवाच | दृष्ट्वा तु पाण्डवानीकं व्यूढं दुर्योधनस्तदा | आचार्यमुपसंगम्य राजा वचनमब्रवीत्
Sanjaya said — Having seen the army of the Pandavas drawn up in battle-array, King Duryodhana then approached his teacher (Drona) and spoke these words.
संजय ने कहा -- पाण्डव-सैन्य की व्यूह रचना देखकर राजा दुर्योधन ने आचार्य द्रोण के पास जाकर ये वचन कहे
सञ्जयले भने — पाण्डवसेना व्यूहबद्ध भएको देखेपछि राजा दुर्योधन आचार्य द्रोणको समीप गएर यी वचन बोले

दुर्योधनले शत्रुको व्यूह देखेपछि तुरुन्तै आफ्नो गुरुकहाँ दौडिन्छन्। यसले उनको मनोदशा प्रकट गर्छ—आत्मविश्वासका साथ नेतृत्व गर्नुभन्दा उनी मान्यता खोज्छन्। जब हामी आफ्नो निर्णयमा अनिश्चित हुन्छौं, हामी पनि आफ्नै विवेकमा भरोसा गर्नुको सट्टा कुनै ठूला व्यक्तिबाट आश्वासन खोज्ने गर्छौं
